Our Goldies’ Origins
Our Goldies’ Origins started in October 2016 when Vonladyloch Kennels began breeding our wonderful Cavalier King Charles puppies, including one girl imported from the Ukraine. Eventually we added Golden Retriever puppies and now we are exclusively breeding Goldies.
Melissa Lurasia Queen Kettricken of Vonladyloch
We bought Melissa Queen Kettricken from an excellent, reputable breeder in Pretoria. Lissa became part of our family during Covid time. Therefore she received all the love and attention a dog could wish for. This resulted in a kind, softhearted, brilliant companion. She became a mother for the first time at 2 years and 4 months old.
Lurasia Coco Chanél of Vonladyloch
A couple of years after Lissa became part of our family, we bought Coco Chanel from the same breeder in Pretoria. In came the hurricane! Oh wow, what zest and loving-life doggy this is! Chanél is truly the most beautiful Goldie I have ever seen, but her energy and cuteness is off the charts! She is all about fun, fun and more fun, causing her big sister Lissa lots of headaches! She is always ready for action and I cannot wait to see what type of mother she will be. We hope to have Coco Chanél-puppies later in 2024. We sought a male good enough for breeding purposes, also registered with KUSA. This is where Marlowe Mordechai became a crucial part of our story.
Millfarm Marlowe Mordicai
Marlowe Mordechai belongs to Jade Fouché, the very last available puppy, making it a destined match! Marlowe’s owners brought him home in December 2021. Since then, with a loving, playful soul evident from the start, even to this day, he exudes gentleness, abundant energy, and a love for attention. He adores water, happily splashing around whenever he gets the chance. A remarkably curious dog, he quickly takes note of any new additions to the household. Marlowe cherishes his kitten sister just as much as his owners and follows her around everywhere she goes.
If you consider buying a Goldie, you are buying a life partner who will be at your side for his or her whole life. They are active, lovable, always eager for a walk or playtime and oh so curious about what the world can offer! They are eager to please and will comfort you when you are down, they are sensitive and pick up on your mood immediately.
A Goldie requires ample exercise and attention, as they thrive on being part of the family and cannot be left alone for extended periods. Moreover, they need to interact and be part of your household buzz. Without sufficient engagement, reluctance in this regard can result in behavior problems. Additionally, they require shade from the sun, as they do not do well in very hot conditions.
Please make time to bond with your dog by brushing and grooming them regularly, as they are shedders. A regular bath and shampoo are necessary on a monthly basis. Do not forget the brushing as they love the attention and pamper time you spend with them.
